quotes from Christmas

Ah, my favorite quotes from Christmas Day:

"Thank-you so much!" (said with a hug each time Jonathan was handed a present, before it was ever opened)

"I'VE BEEN WANTING THIS MY WHOLE LIFE!!!" (said by our dear, dramatic daughter, Keona, about the paper doll set...and the painted pony...and the ballerina costume box...and the scooter...)

"I've GOT to stop watching commercials." (said by Jonathan upon opening up the remote helipcopter he wanted after seeing it on Saturday morning cartoons at Granny's)

"Happy Birthday to You!" (how my kids started Christmas morning--by initiating an enthusiastic round of "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.)

"Thank you for loving me." (how I ended Christmas day--feeling God's embrace through the love of my kids.)

As I look back at christmas I am thankful for the things that I have. The thing that brings me the greatest joy is operation christmas Child. every year I have helped either putting a box together or giving that box to a child. I like your precious son go through everything and give things to people that can use more then I will ever use it. You are so blessed May your new year be filled with happyness joy and love

Love the photo, Alicia! It's also fun to hear a bit about your family's Christmas. Our five-year-old Evie is still concerned that I was the only one who didn't getting anything in my stocking. She says Santa couldn't see it because the tree blocked his view. Her solution? Give away some toys so that next year's tree will fit in the "toy corner" of the living room. All for Dad's sake!

Greetings Jeff! Thanks so much for visiting the new blog. Our children are precious beyond words! With their gifts of giving and generosity, your Evie and my Jonathan would probably make great friends.
