mark 1.40
I've been captivated for four days by a singular verse:
Over and over, I've been chewing on two thoughts:
Whole.
Imagine.
This is what the voice of Jesus offers us.
A man with leprosy came to [Jesus] and begged him on his knees,
"If you are willing, you can make me clean."
Mark 1.40
"If you are willing, you can make me clean."
Mark 1.40
Over and over, I've been chewing on two thoughts:
- This desperate man didn't spend even one word introducing himself or explaining the history of his condition. He didn't begin with a focus on himself. He focused his words on Jesus: "If YOU are WILLING..."
- And of all the things he could have asked for, he longed to be "clean."
Whole.
Imagine.
This is what the voice of Jesus offers us.

It captivates me too! A great word, friend. I'll be posting about your book on Friday. I want to order 3 copies as giveaways. I'll go your website and do so now.

All I can say is WOW!

Alicia,
As an author, it must be a strange feeling to spend so much time working on a manuscript, re-writing, editing, re-writing, pushing to a dealine and than it's over...The book goes out and you must wonder, who will read it? What will there reaction(s) be? Who will be impacted by my writings? I wanted to leave you a comment to encourage you and your family that I am one of those readers who has been impacted by your writings! This week, our resident Book Barista at our Church who runs our the bookstore glowing told me about your book as I cruised in to grab a coffee. He explained, "you have to read this book, I took it home last night and I finished it in one sitting!"
With his recommendation I bought your book and sat down next to our backyard pool on my Friday day off here in Orange County, Ca to peruse over it today.
Wow, I could't put the book down (Until my kids swim lessons crept up a few hours later!).
I was humbled, stirred and motivated to walk closer in my journey with Jesus through your writings. I want to simply say, "thank you" to you and your family for allowing the Lord to use you as an author.

Hello Matt, your words deeply encourage me today. Yes, the book is released and then I wait in hope that the message draws, strengthens, awakens other souls.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to read, for taking the time to write.
Peace,
alicia
