Louie and a Link
dear louie
Our precious toddler has a ritual he delights in at bedtime. First he loves having his shoes and socks swept off his feet with a giggle. Then he finds his favorite "passee" and places it in a nook (he has one of those Noah's ark toddler beds). Next he asks for a "babee"--which means a stuffed animal.
Snuggling his "babee" close to him he requests, "tuck you" which is our cue that it's time to tuck his quilt around him and his babee. This step is repeated a few times normally interspersed with him pulling his foot out of the blanket and saying, "oowee." So of course we happily kiss his big toe and lately he kisses it too for good measure.
Then yesterday he added another step in between "tuck you"s: he got up and reached for a few of his favorite books, placed them on his pillow, then kissed them as he said, "ni-ni."
How I wish time moved slower.

The message I shared on soul bruises yesterday at a chapel in Springfield, MO is available as a video podcast. If something fun or light would lift your spirits, you may want to pass. But it may be a source of encouragement if you are currently walking through betrayal, injustice, restrictions...pain.

I love my books enough to kiss them, too. : )
Me too! I still wake up with them sometimes in the morning :)

i saved your podcast in my favorites list, so I could go back to it and listen when I had time...well, the time has finally come, and alas, it is no longer there. Is there any way for me to find it again...retrieve it somehow?
also, wanted to let you know that your "making of a mentor" teaching has been a tremendous blessing to our women's ministry!! Thanks for not keeping all of these teachings to yourself...for taking the time to write it all down, for continuing to press on and put it out there for us. I hope I get to see your surprised face when the Lord shows you the fruit of your labor...it'll be magnificent!
here's where you can find me...
